Yoga is for EVERYbody. And everybody’s Yoga is different. I Am That – Yoga is, above all, a community. A safe space where everybody feels like Yoga is for them. Our Collingwood Yoga Studio is a place where every single staff member and teacher is welcoming, supportive, friendly and warm. The team (comprised of some of Melbourne’s best, most experienced Yoga teachers) provide quality classes that respect the tradition of Yoga and provide the space for every student to find their yoga. In order to share our community with more people, we have decided to take it online!

The world is filled with spaces that are intimidating and exclusive. So we decided to do things differently. Yes, the Yoga studio is beautiful and the teachers and students are too. Some of us could even do great-looking, fancy poses if you asked us to. You might also leave some classes sweating and exercised. But here, Yoga comes first. What does that mean here? Join us online not just to enjoy great yoga videos and tutorials from fantastic teachers but to really become a part of this community that values kindness, support and respect over everything else. As long as you are breathing you are perfect. Here, you will find great classes streamed live from our beautiful studio, connection to our warm and incredibly knowledgable teachers, and fun and useful ways to learn, explore and connect beyond just Asana classes. The point of this online presence is even more connection.

That is the philosophy behind our community, as well as our products and it is what we would like to share both in-studio and online.

I Am That - Yoga acknowledges the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nations as the Traditional Owners of this unceded land on which we practice, teach and share Yoga: Yálla-birr-ang [Collingwood]. We pay our respects to their Elders, past and present, and the Aboriginal Elders of other communities, as well as all the teachers that passed down this ancient wisdom and the daily practices of Yoga.

We are committed to stand in solidarity with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the fight for justice and real land rights and to pay the rent as a portion of our revenues.

Our luck of being able to legally live and earn on these lands is not taken for granted. We are proud to support the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre with a portion of our revenues, acknowledging that safety and security are a human right.
